There’s a new Rhode Island state striped bass record and it’s owned by Peter Vican. His monster catch weighed in at 77 pounds 4 ounces which is one pound shy of the world striped bass record. Peter is not new to setting records as the old record of 76 pounds 14 ounces was set by none other then Peter Vican himself.

Here’s a 14.14lb striper caught by Andrew Lujan recently at the Los Vaqueros Reservoir. They’re not easy to catch but if you do get one they’re usually of pretty good size like this one.
There’s a new species of micro king salmon invading Northern California’s waters. Some know it as a “Steve-O”, or anything caught under 4 inches.
